Missions

Casa De Oro Bible Church is involved in supporting many Christian ministries around the world. A portion of our church budget is sent to these ministries along with our prayers and occasionally individual and group participation. Below is a sampling of these mission endeavors we support. Watch for more of our church's missions involvement to be featured on this page.

Pastors to
Prisoners Ministry

We believe it is not enough simply to incarcerate lawbreakers. Punishment must include an opportunity for rehabilitation in order to limit the prison population and give offenders an opportunity to make a positive contribution to society. Lasting change comes from the inside out, through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Public monies provide only one Protestant Chaplain per institution to serve upwards of 4000+ inmates on several yards within each prison. We provide a non-institutional resource for men interested in changing their lives, maintaining the Chapel open for Bible studies, worship services, and counseling throughout the day and evening.

Pastors are able to meet and know the men where they are and be available for counseling on a daily basis. They are able to be Christian role models for those inside, and are often the first one a non-churched inmate has ever had. Pastors are able to reinforce the fact that there are people who care about the inmates as individuals and want to see them succeed. Although located within a "punishment" setting, they do not punish. Instead, they provide guidance for inmates, preparing them for release and teaching them to make choices that will change their life situation that landed them in prison.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes..." Romans 1:16

"The fall semester begins August 25! Upon entering college, many students are faced with the temptations to engage in partying, immoral relationships, and drugs and alcohol. It is crucial for us to meet and share the gospel with as many of these students as possible during the first few weeks of the semester. Here are some quotes from students whom we met last year as freshmen, stating why it was so important that they were met early in their college experience.

'When I started college, I prayed that God would help me find a church. A minister with New Life shared the gospel with me on campus, and I surrendered my life to Jesus! Throughout this ministry, I've learned how to live a life that's honoring to Him. I know that as I follow Jesus, He will lead me to be a light for others.' (Bryce)

'New Life Christian Church has changed my perspective on what a God-first life can be. I have met so many amazing people who truly care for me, my devotion to Christ, and want to see me thrive. I feel truly blessed that God has placed me in this church.' (Owen)

'I grew up going to a big church back home, and it was difficult making genuine connections in such a big crowd. At New Life, I have grown more in my faith through being surrounded by such a tight-knit community that really loves one another and wants to see me move forward in every area of my life.' (Jordan)

'Surrounding myself with like-minded people that love Jesus was really important to me. My relationship with God deepened, and my ability to communicate with Him increased. This church helped me to understand the goodness of God and the importance of opening up to others.' (Mikah)

Thank you for your prayers and support during this crucial time. Please pray for NAU's returning students and the incoming

freshman class!"
